LAIPLA (Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association) in conjunction with LMU Loyola Law School, Los Angeles presents its groundbreaking annual TechTainment™ program for an eighth year. TechTainment™ 8.0 will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

TechTainment™ is a unique among conferences. It defines and explores the intersection of technology, entertainment and law. TechTainment™ focuses on cutting-edge technologies used in entertainment, as well as their legal and business implications. Past panels have discussed esports, the metaverse, augmented and virtual reality, videogaming, podcast content moderation, and deepfakes.

Southern California is a hub for entertainment and technology, making TechTainment™ a must-attend event for local industry professionals, as well as entertainment- and technology-focused attorneys. With each year, TechTainment™ has grown in size and scope to encompass a global community, with participants attending in-person or virtually from through the U.S. and Canada, and also Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

We are excited to be back in person after two-years of Zoom only conferences. We can’t wait to see you again. The Conference will include a continental breakfast, lunch and end with a networking reception, for in-person attendees. as well as networking breaks. The LMU School of Film and Televison’s campus is a beautiful location and we greatly encourage everyone to participate in person.

For the TechTainment™ community based outside of Southern California – for the first time in LAIPLA history, the entire in-person Conference will be streamed in real time. Zoom attendees will be also have their own online breakout rooms at the same time as the in-person Conference networking breaks, allowing the online TechTainment™ community to interact with one other.
